Video: Launch of the New Audi A6 Avant

A6 Avant combines understated elegance and manufacturing excellence

We've seen our fair share of flashy car launches that pulled out all stops, sparing no expense in throwing the elaborate parties with glamorous dress codes, especially in the past couple of months.

Unveiled to selected media at the picturesque Marmalade Pantry by the Stables, the new Audi A6 Avant however, did away with all the typical pomp and circumstance and instead, chose to simply highlight the understated elegance and manfucturing excellence of the car over a simple meal.

And even without free-flowing Champagne and exquisite canapes as supporting characters, the Audi A6 Avant is still a vehicle that impresses, touted to be a continuation of the success of the Audi A6, and set to be a prime example in the premium station wagon category in Singapore.

Characteristic of an Audi, the A6 Avant is sporty and sleek, in a bigger size yet unusually light, thanks to the use of high-strength and ultra high-strength steels. Naturally, it also incorporates technically fascinating options such as the automatic rear hatch that activates via a defined movement of the foot. A bonus point: fuel consumption with the new model has been reduced to up to 18 percent.

The new Audi A6 Avant 2.0 TFSI multitronic is now available in Singapore at S$231, 538 (inclusive of COE) and the 3.0 TFSI quattro at S$315, 538 (inclusive of COE).
