Although Christmas is still weeks away, people are starting to draw up their wish lists. While the younger set might still be asking Santa for a pony or race car, the rest of us will be looking for more adult gifts. Enter: Johnnie Walker Blue Label Bar.
The bar is the latest in a series of impossibly cool gift packs courtesy of the collaboration between Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Porsche Design Studio.
With its blue and polished silver packaging, the Blue Label Chiller and Mini Cube seem made for the house parties, which inevitably pop up during the holidays. Hate making small talk? You can always wax lyrical about how cool the Chiller or Mini Cube is.
The piece de resistance of the set though, is the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Private Bar, which will make guests' jaws drop from its sheer decadence. Standing at an imposing two metres and crafted from brushed stainless steel, natural shagreen leather and Australian lace wood, the bar is luxury personified.
More than just pretty to look at it (if you only wanted that, you could get a Christmas tree), what really makes this piece stand out is the state of the art motion sensors that activate its automated opening sequence; the Private Bar pivots and slides to display a magnum of cask strength Johnnie Walker Blue Label with exterior detailing imagined by Porsche Design Studio, two bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label and four crystal glasses. Press of another button to reveal a hidden chilled compartment, which rises out to present bespoke crystal ice bucket, stainless steel tongs, four further crystal glasses and a crystal jug of iced water.
Only 480 pieces of the Chiller and 120 pieces of the Mini Cube are available in Singapore at S$344 and S$600 respectively. The Private Bar is available with only 50 pieces worldwide at £100,000 each.
