Best Irish Pubs in Singapore

Get drunk, be merry this Saint Patrick's Day

So what if we aren't Irish? We would gladly embrace the cultural practices and indiosyncracies of any one country that celebrates with copious amounts of music, food and drinking! This Saint Patrick's Day, we check out the best of Irish pubs in Singapore so you'd know the best place to get properly sloshed in the most authentic way.

1. Durty Nelly's

Located in the central business area of Raffles Boulevard, the interior of Durty Nelly's is a mish-mash of traditional Irish bric-a-brac and modern furniture and contemporary colours, giving it a rather cozy charm. The pub prides itself on serving only the most authentic of Irish dishes such as Fish 'n Chips with Mushy Peas and Steak & Guinness Pie, and even the non-traditional fare such as spicy chicken drumlets are delicious. There are eight beers on tap, but give the margaritas, which are strong, a shot. The perfect place to unwind after a long day at work.

2. Muddy Murphy's

One of the oldest traditional Irish pubs in Singapore, Muddy Murphy's 1840's country cottage themed pub is so authentic you would be forgiven for momentarily thinking you're no longer in Singapore. Always bustling, the pub livens up even more during the weekends when the live bands are in the house and during sports events. A must-try - the Battered Fish and Chips, best washed down with a cold (Irish, of course) beer.

3. Scruffy Murphy's

Nothing quite like enjoying a beer whilst taking in the sights of the ocean. At Scruffy Murphy's, East Coast Park's Irish cafe-pub, you can do all of that - you don't even need to head to town for a pint! The perfect chillout spot, choose from the all-day dining menu for a hearty meal, or relax with friends with beer while feeling the sea breeze in your hair.

4. Molly Malone's

You can't possibly get more authentic than with Molly Malone's. Designed and built in Ireland, the pub was then shipped and reassembled here. It also holds the honours of being the first Irish pub to open here. Packed practically every single day of the week, it's not hard to see why this pub has become such a popular fixture in the business district - the atmosphere is always lively and exceedingly friendly, and its signature fish and chips comes in generous portions, with melt-in-your-mouth batter and crispy thick cut fries.

5. Mulligan's Irish Pub & Restaurant

Located right at the heart of party central of Clarke Quay, with its inviting, warm and rustic interior that is reminiscent of a traditional Victorian-era pub, Mulligan's is a welcome sight for those who prefer the more laidback scene instead of the clubs blasting loud thumping beats. Besides the standard Irish fare and numerous plasma television screens showing the latest games, a highlight of Mulligan's is its live music performances featuring resident singer Jai from Wednesdays to Fridays.
Saint Patrick's Day Offer:
Patrons may expect lots of merry-making that will include a beer-drinking contest, games, entertainment by resident singer Jai with an Irish guest, and an Irish dance from 7pm-10pm.
