5 things to know about the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 Coupe OrangeArt Edition

Following the success of the SLC RedArt Edition, Mercedes effectively shows once again that good design doesn’t need flaunting with the new Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 Coupe OrangeArt Edition. Critics might say that there’s barely any orange found in the OrangeArt Edition, but to that, we say, subtlety is key. After all, too much orange in a luxury sports utility coupé would be rather tacky, to say the least.

Constructive criticism aside, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 Coupe OrangeArt Edition impressively combines excellent driving dynamics with everyday usability. This is taking into account the sporty aspects of the AMG Line: a 520Nm torque, a maximum speed of 250km/h, and 0-100km/h in 5.7 seconds. With such thrilling driving dynamics, one wouldn’t expect it to be made for everyday use with a fuel consumption of 9.4 litres per 100km.

The Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 Coupe OrangeArt Edition doesn’t scrimp on the individuality factor as well. Being limited edition, one thing’s for sure: You won’t be seeing the OrangeArt edition on every corner in KL. Not to mention, the E class will guarantee all the luxe factor you need in a SUV.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia will only be bringing in a limited number of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 Coupe OrangeArt Edition to the country, so don’t walk — run. Here are five aspects of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 Coupe OrangeArt Edition you need to know about.

Orange accents in the design that are subtle yet striking

The most important thing to note about the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 Coupe OrangeArt Edition is that while it has orange accents — it is in no way drenched in that bright colour. On the exterior, expect sporty orange highlights including decals on the front apron. Inside, you’ll find it on the sports seats with orange piping on the black nappa leather and floor mats with AMG lettering and piping in orange.

It's available in the Night Package

The Mercedes-Benz Night Package is only available for the GLE class for now, and it includes an exterior Sport Package, 20-inch black AMG 5-spoke wheels and glossy black exterior accents. As its name suggests, the Night Package essentially encapsulates the exterior of the car, giving it an ultra sleek and sexy all-black look. This even extends to the recesses of the tyre spokes, front and rear skid plates, grille crossbar trim, the side mirrors, side window surrounds, and roof rails. Of course, with the AMG GLE 43 OrangeArt Edition, this means it comes with the orange accents too.

Six paint finishes for you to pick from

If the Night Black isn’t your cup of tea, there are also six colour variations for you to pick from: black, polar white, obsidian black, iridium silver, selenite grey, or designo diamond white bright. That’s right, even the colour variations have been carefully picked to complement the orange accent of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 Coupe OrangeArt Edition.

Two exclusive interior variants to pick from

Inside the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 Coupe OrangeArt Edition, you will find the sports seat upholstered in black nappa leather and DINAMICA microfibre. This upholstery combination is exclusive to this edition only. Take your pick from either the AMG carbon-fibre or black piano lacquer trim finish for the dash.

AMG 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels in high gloss black and rim flange in orange

The final orange accent of the car lies in the orange rim flange of the 21-inch, AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels that also features an exclusive high-gloss black paint. Imagine driving through the night with these wheels: very TRON-like.
