amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, held its third annual Hong Kong fundraising gala at Shaw Studios on Saturday night, drawing a glamorous crowd of celebrities and business leaders from near and far.
Charlize Theron served as the evening’s Honorary Chair, along with amfAR’s Chairman of the Board, Kenneth Cole, and Naomi Campbell. Pansy Ho, founder of the amfAR Gala Hong Kong event series, who also served as the Event Chair for the previous two events, was given special recognition for her exceptional contributions to the global struggle against HIV/AIDS.
Following a cocktail reception, dinner and live auction conducted by Simon de Pury, guests were all treated to world-class entertainment by Grammy-nominated British pop sensation Charli XCX, five-time Grammy Award-winning musician Mark Ronson and famous Korean singer CL (Lee Chae-rin).
